At BJ Magnets we supply any magnetic equipment you might need in the food processing industry.
Single Grid Magnets
Grid Magnets are placed directly in the product stream allowing free flowing products to come in direct contact with the grid. Grid Magnets are typically constructed with one inch or 25 mm diameter magnetic tubes mounted on two inch centers in a frame. The length and width can be fabricated to any dimension, usually in two inch increments.
Double Grid Magnets are two staggered rows provide maximum contact area for product flow. As product flows through the stainless steel housing, it cascades over the staggered rows of magnetic tubes placed directly in the product stream allowing free flowing products to come in direct contact with the double grid. Double grid Magnets are typically constructed with one inch or 25 mm diameter magnetic tubes mounted on two or four inch centers in a frame. The length and width can be fabricated to any dimension, usually in two inch increments.
Plate Magnets are designed for use in chutes and suspension over conveyed product. Installed on the bottom side of a chute, a Plate Magnet will provide maximum protection as product travels through the powerful magnetic circuit. The magnetic field projects from the face of the Plate Magnet reaching into the product stream and pulling the ferrous contaminants to the magnet face. The magnetic field on a Plate Magnet is strongest at the surface and gets weaker the further you move away.
Hinged Plate Magnet
Double Plate/Double Chute
Double plate Magnets consist of a housing and two opposing Plate Magnets. A center diverter on the housing inlet helps direct product towards the magnets. Ferrous contaminants are pulled from the flowing product and are captured by the powerful magnets. A Single Trap face design eliminates the possibility of the captured tramp metal being washed off back into the product stream.
Angled chute or Spout Magnets consist of a hinged plate attached to a housing. This allows for simple installation by removing a section of the spouting and replacing with the Angled Spout Magnet. This is especially helpful when installing this type of separator in flat or a round spout.
Cone Magnets are designed to remove ferrous contaminants from products in gravity fed product streams. Cone is also known as a Center-Flow Magnet or Bullet Magnet (because the internal magnet element somewhat resembles a bullet), Cone Magnets units are used to ensure product purity and protect process equipment.
Liquid Trap Magnets are engineered to remove ferrous contaminants from liquid and slurry lines. Efficiently remove tramp iron before maintenance and product contamination problems occur.
Rotating Drum Magnets are designed for continuous self-cleaning of metal contaminants from product flow streams. As product enters the housing inlet, an adjustable feed gate meters the flow of product to the drum face.
